In the post-truth world that we live in, Christians must first become people of God's truth and of God's love before being able to effectively speak the truth in love. Aries Zulkarnain's pivotal message on spiritual dexterity alerts believers to the stark difference between the manipulated "truth" of the world and God's truth. Like Abraham, who established altars every place he built his tent, we must also establish the immovable truth of God and not exchange it for "cultural truths" which can be easily altered. Pastor Aries also demonstrates from Apostle Paul's life how to be a humblie, holistic Christian in order to speak the truth in love, which is embodied in bringing social justice wherever we go.

Dear CHC app, I said that Pastor Aries Zulkarnain was wrong in the sermon and you said that I was wrong in saying that he was wrong?
Hi @Diane, the context of the message is that all of us are inevitably influenced and impacted by the culture and the times we are living in. We pray that in spite of it all, that we as Christians will have the wisdom and conviction in God to uphold His truth.
Thank you @Ong BC! And @Court Scott ... we'd let Ps Aries know! 😊
Thank you @Apple Baker! May the Lord bless you greatly!
Speaking the truth in love part 1 and 2/Pastor Kong Hee or speaking simply:
I am very sorry to say that Pastor Aries Zulkarnain was wrong to say that Abram's descendants in being given a land by Jehovah'd have to adapt to/also to influence well the people/culture there.
Abram's descendants'd have to kill the people there because they were very wicked/sinful.
Genesis 13:13 - The men of this area were unusually wicked, and sinned greatly against Jehovah.
Genesis 15:16 - After four generations they will return here to this land; for the wickedness of the Amonite nations living here now will not be ready for punishment until then_
Deutoronomy 17:14 - When you arrive in the land your God will give you, and have conquered and begin to think, "We ought to have a king like the other nations around us.
The sermon was about us Christians and if we'd sell out to a changing world.
If we're as invincible as the Indian sari and turban. If we got to bind feet as the ancient Chinese and the modern equivalent of plucking/lining eyebrows
To follow Jesus is
- to turn away from sins/to be bloodcleansed from sins/to be forgiven/
- to help the poor/unfortunate
- to heal the sick.
I don't think much about your church because of its past history with your founders. But I have to say I was moved with the testimonies of the SOT students and the song at the end. God bless those who trust in Him.
Thank you Pastor Aries for the timely and critical message in this challenging time. Much appreciated!
Aries needs to make this into a book. This is a critical message for our times. Wonderfully presented!
