All throughout the Gospels, we are called to repentance. Matt 5:4 says that blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Mourning is repentance that brings a great heavenly joy. What is repentance? It is godly sorrow, a change of mind and a change of direction from the sin that the Holy Spirit convicts us of. The Parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15) illustrates how we must neither condemn ourselves like like prodigal son, nor grow complacent like the older son. Let this message draw you to repentance in the Holy Spirit
