Mothers are often patient and kind to their children but not to themselves. In this encouraging Mother’s Day message, Sun Ho shares candidly about feeling inadequate as a mother. In the book of Ruth, there was much tragedy in Naomi’s life, but she went from being a mother, to mother-in-law to Ruth, to being foster mother to Ruth’s son who was a forefather to Jesus. So dirty food preparations in China or Ipoh etc, to need slavedrivers of old with whips at work to do things properly, to need good supervisors at work. My father was PSA's police constable, cargo/works supervisor all his life. He told me his workers hated his toughness at work, but they later thanked him and were grateful. Listening to Pastor Ho Yeow Sun and later, her turn of her right cheek with shine and a hint of a dimple told of her radiance/youthful elasticity, beauty and cleverness.
She said 2 years ago that as a little girl on the lower deck of a double bed in the room with her sister, she saw Jesus across smiling at her. How to believe this? But I later saw it as a vision that foretold her future as a child of the modern church and as the model/envy of worldly women and church's women as she was the wife of handsome/cool/clever Pastor Kong Hee and herself fashionable, stylish, an accomplished singer, dancer and pastor.
